The Pilipa’a Boy’s 17’s & 18’s arrived in Atlanta early this morning after neary 17 hours of flights and layovers.

Pilipa’a Boy’s 17’s and 18’s head to Junior Olympic Tournament in Atlanta.

The Pilipa’a Boy’s 17’s and 18’s depart for Atlanta, GA tomorrow morning for the 2009 USA Volleyball Junior Olympics.  This will be Pilipa’a’s second visit to Atlanta. In 2007 the Pilipa’a 18’s earned silver medal honors and the Pilipa’a 16’s (this year’s 18’s) finished in 5th place.

Pilipa’a Boys at States

Pilipa’a is well represented at this year’s Hawaii High School Boy’s State Volleyball Tournament with players on 4 different teams (Waiakea, KS-Hawaii, Pahoa and Honoka’a).
KS-Hawaii began the tournament today with a 5-set win over Mililani 25-21, 12-25, 24-26, 25-17, 15-10 to advance to play KS-Maui on Thursday in a quarter-final match at McKinley.
